E.C.A.A. Scholarships

The JACK REIN, JEREMIAH J. NOONAN, JR. Scholarships will be awarded at the ECAA 2023 Fall Meeting.
Any regular member of the ECAA interested in applying for one of these scholarships must complete this application and submit it by October 1, 2025.


The Jack Rein and Jeremiah J. Noonan, Jr. Scholarships (each up to $250) can be used for any course related to assessing and must be used during the 2024 calendar year. Scholarship recipients must receive credit for the course and obtain a passing grade on the exam.

    SELECTION PROCESS
    CRITERIA
    • The applicant must be a regular member in good standing.
    •  Preference will be given to those applicants working toward an assessing designation  (i.e., MAA, RMA or CMA).
    GUIDELINES
    • Each year the scholarship applications will be mailed by the ECAA no later than  September 15th.
    • The deadline for returning applications is October 1st.  
    • The selection of the recipient(s) will be made by the Scholarship Committee and awarded at the October meeting of the ECAA.
    • Scholarships should be used in the following calendar year.  In the event that a scholarship is not used within this time frame due to a personal emergency, the cancellation of a course, or other extenuating circumstances, the recipient may request a one-year extension in writing.  The Scholarship Committee will grant no extensions beyond one year.
    • The Scholarship Committee should avoid any conflicts of interest in regard to the selection process.  More specifically, any member serving on the Scholarship Committee must abstain from voting on an applicant from his/her office.
    • The application must be filled out in its entirety and returned to the Scholarship Committee in a timely fashion.  Explicit attention will be placed on the education budget for assessors in the applicant’s community.
    • A runner up will also be selected for each scholarship.​
